We are seeking a professional individual to add to our team in Dreilinden/Berlin as

French Machine Translation Language Specialist (m/f)

Responsibilities:

·  Analyze Machine Translation (MT) output for quality improvement and suggest comprehensive solutions
·  Encode foreign language terminology according to specific conventions
·  Test and document the results of output of trained MT engines
·  Annotate eBay content (listing title, product titles etc.) as per Data Science and Structured Data Organization instructions in order to provide quality training/testing data
·  Assist in a variety of linguistic research related tasks
·  Review human post edited output to generate high quality of training corpus for MT engines
·  Perform intelligently-targeted QA on annotated content provided by vendors
·  Help to conduct MT usability test with users in the respective markets and summarize the feedback and test results
·  Create guidelines and documentation on best practices for contractors and vendors, as well as training post-editors for the respective languages

Requirements:

·  Bachelor or Master Degree in Linguistics
·  3-5 years of localization experience and/or evaluating machine translation output
·  Native fluency in the respective language (French) and a deep understanding of the nuances of the respective language is required
·  Strong familiarity with the Machine Translation industry and best practices for post-editing/reviewing
·  Strong familiarity with translation technologies and localization and processes
·  Ability to work in a multicultural environment
·  Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with other departments and varying levels of management
·  Good command of German (C1 or better)
