Primary Job Responsibilities

eBay is seeking an experienced engineer to assist with data center controls and monitoring system design, implementation, and maintenance. Engineer will be responsible for building controls and monitoring system design, deployment, quality standards, oversee testing of new equipment, and assist with server and software application maintenance.

Job Requirements

Engineer will oversee integration vendors as well as self-perform integration of systems and devices that monitor and control the electrical and mechanical systems deployed in the data center.Engineer will work closely with system integrators to facilitate successful and timely delivery, and oversee point to point testing and quality assurance for newly deployed systems and equipment.Engineer will also assist with maintenance of applications, network devices, virtual environments, hypervisors, virtual machines, operating systems, and software applications.

Qualified candidates should have an excellent understanding of building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS).Experience or certifications related to OSISoft, Automated Logic, Schneider Electric, Power Analytics, or Delta Controls preferred.Engineer must have a good understanding of industry standard protocols Modbus, BACnet, and SNMP and have a basic understanding of networking, Windows OS, virtual machines, ESX clusters, and highly available distributed systems.
