Job Description

The Senior DRP Planner is responsible for the planning and purchasing of finished goods from owned factories as well as international vendors. Planner must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills and work well independently. Planner will interface with all facets of the organization including distribution, manufacturing, customer service, demand planning, marketing and engineering.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Responsible for determining replenishment strategy and calculating appropriate planning levels to achieve target in-stock levels and planned inventory turns
•Analyze & evaluate purchasing plan vs. forecast & actual sales to ensure on target with replenishment parameters
•Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports including metric reports, inventory analysis, A3 problem solving
•Effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures in an effort to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy and maintain the highest possible service levels
•Work closely with the forecasting and development teams on new and existing business to ensure proper deployment of stock in the distribution network
•Perform continuous evaluation of supply/demand balances to ensure inventory is appropriately maintained throughout the distribution network to support customer demand with optimum inventory levels
•Analyze results of key metrics and identify root cause of performance issues
•Create and distribute monthly production forecast to purchase finished goods suppliers

•Conduct weekly calls with suppliers – review open orders, production forecasts, prioritization requirements, performance issues, expedites, and levels load requirements
•Coordinate with vendors and/or manufacturing facilities to ensure the synchronization of replenishment orders with plant production capacities
•Develop and coordinate inventory requirements and shipments with marketing and suppliers for all new product introductions, promotional and seasonal inventory requirements, national account and utility inventory requirements and other market specific inventory programs
•Develop tactical plans to support overall inventory optimization strategies focused on enhancing customer fulfillment with less on-hand inventory
•Maintain accurate master data profile in ERP system
•Work with production control personnel and division logistics planners to minimize overall supply chain costs and maximize supply chain efficiencies
•Monitor and release all vendor pricing discrepancies or blocked invoices for payment issues
•Advise internal customers of any issues with orders and/or pertinent shipping information
•Provide general support and guidance to other planners

Desired profile

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)

Basic Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

•Minimum 1 year of experience in an inventory planning role in a manufacturing or distribution environment

•Candidate must reside within 50 miles of Eaton's Peachtree City, GA campus
•Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Requirements:
•3 years experience in a professional environment and/or distribution/manufacturing
•CPIM certification
•Experience operating in SAP
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites
