Data Analyst (Strong Excel Skills) 

Our client is a specialist, independent decision support consultancy and technology company based in London, Stirling and Malton, near York. This role is located at their offices in Malton, Yorkshire. 

Our clients key market is providing technology to local authorities to support more efficient operation of their waste logistics supply chain, and are the market leaders in the UK in the provision of optimised collection rounds for local authoritie. 

Position: Data Analyst 
Location: Malton, North Yorkshire (commutable from York, Welburn and surrounding areas) 
Salary: £16-£20K depending on experience and skill 

About the role: 
The Data Analyst will be responsible for the information management tasks such as data capture and translation, analysis, cleansing, reporting and visualisation in the area of waste collection round design and related projects. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to data capture and translation, data editing, analysing, cleansing and manipulation reporting, data querying, filtering and summarising. 

The Data Analyst will use their proprietary, award winning, round design software to build and optimise waste collection rounds. Understanding of special analyses and dealing with large data sets desirable. 

About you: 
To be considered for this role, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a very good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and be competent in data management and special analyses. You will have the ability to spot problems early and resolve them constructively. You will be a clear verbal and competent written communicator with good interpersonal skills. 

You will show a willingness to work with new ideas and be critical of your own work. You will also be able to travel within the UK when required.
