Position: Area Merchandising Manger
Location: North London (SL, HP, AL, SG, N, NW, WD, HA, UB)
Salary: circa £25,000 per annum

About the Role:
The Area / Field Merchandising Manager will manage an Area Team of Merchandisers / Support Merchandisers and an Area Support Merchandiser. You will be responsible for their recruitment, induction, ongoing review. In addition, you will be responsible for their motivation, development and training through effective communication.

You will also act as an Area 'Business Manager’ managing costs of c. £300K p.a. and sales of £4M - £5M through effective control and administration (cost monitoring). You will take responsibility for maximising customer and company sales in designated accounts through effective planning and implementation.

You will undertake store visits to observe merchandising standards, new and existing merchandising activities and procedures and recommend improvements. You will use sales information to investigate potential issues in stores, and investigate stock holding, internal store and merchandiser issues. You will also put action plans in place to rectify any issues, and develop in-store relationships with Department Managers, discuss sales and merchandising delivery.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have previous field sales / field merchandising experience, ideally from a retail or FMCG industry. A degree level of education is not required, however you must be numeric with a high level of literacy, along with good geographical knowledge.

You must be self-motivated and able to use initiative. Due to the field nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential.
