Mobile App Developer (iOS/Android) Internship

Earthmiles (http://www.earthmiles.co.uk) is offering a paid internship in its technical/app development team.

Earthmiles is a London based well-funded startup that offers rewards and incentives for its users to motivate them to be healthy. We have well-rated iOS and Android apps in the market already and we are looking for a smart, hard-working intern to join our tech team (of 4 people) and learn and contribute to our progress. We plan to offer you a full-time position at the end of the internship

You will learn the following during the internship:
- Objective C/Swift
- Java/Android
- Test driven programming, as you would be writing tests for existing codebase
- Cutting edge health related APIs that are becoming increasingly popular over the last one year – Healthkit, Google fit, Fitbit, Jawbone up, etc
- Big data analysis in health and wellness space

Desired profile

Must-have skills/experience

- A computer science degree or 2-3 years of hacking experience in Python, C++, Java
- Ability to work under tight deadlines

Nice to have skills/experience

- Objective-C and/or Swift iOS programming with demonstrable apps on the App Store; and experience in Python/Django would be great
- REST API and asynchronous programming techniques, some working knowledge of backend systems that servers data to front end
- Integration with Facebook, Google+, Twitter SDK
- Knowledge of various third-party packages that can be leveraged upon
- Unit and Functional testing
- Git and Continuous Integration environments
