Job description
Responsibilities
It’s all about accuracy
Forecasting Analyst
Salary: £23,373 - £33,391
Location: Westwood, Coventry
E.ON is a global provider of specialised energy solutions. We work hard to make the best deals possible and provide energy solutions for our customers.
Right now, we’re looking for a talented, driven analyst to provide gas forecasts for our Portfolio Management team. The right candidate for this role could be an analyst with some professional experience, or a recent Science or Mathematics graduate taking their first steps in the energy industry.
Your core responsibility will be to provide short and long-term operational gas demand forecasts to ensure we’re purchasing the right amounts. You’ll factor in the economic situation, customer behaviour and any expected changes to minimise the cost of forecasting inaccuracy and uncertainty.
As a key member of the Demand Forecasting team, it’s crucial that you actively monitor accuracy and look for opportunities to improve our processes wherever possible. You’ll also support and lead key elements of the wider Demand Forecasting change programme.
Finally, you’ll have essential responsibilities outside gas forecasting too. Working with stakeholders across the business, you’ll not only support the understanding and interpretation of forecast data; you’ll also help other teams to analyse the risks of forecast uncertainty. And beyond gas demand, you’ll also help with forecasting for our new residential heating and renewable biomethane businesses.
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career professional to take the next step and make their mark with one of the world’s leading energy suppliers. And as seeing your work have a significant impact across the business, you can also look forward to excellent career and development opportunities.
