PMST - Body Electronics

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our Electrical and Electronics team as a PMST (Programme Module Sub-Team) Engineer, to deliver a variety of electronic components within Body Electronics (e.g. Body Control Unit, USB hub, Security Antenna etc.), responsible for managing internal and external suppliers to deliver integrated solutions.

Accountabilities

Key elements of the PMST role

·  Component/Commodity ownership, comprising of;
·  Delivering of component to programme; on time, to quality, mass and cost targets
·  BOM, CAD and packaging data management
·  Contribution to Functional Safety (ISO 26262), FMEA (System and Design) and system requirements
·  Technical specification authoring (hardware/software)
·  Design validation management / planning (DVP)
·  Supplier sourcing and management
·  Report on current activities, hardware and software status and manage issues
·  Assist with definition of Body Domain features and functions
·  Management of multiple hardware and software suppliers
·  Ownership of engineering activities to meet aggressive project timescale 
·  Contribution to commercial activities to meet cost target
·  Defining HIL and SIL requirements and associated work packages for the test team
·  Assist with fault finding and root cause analysis of software and hardware features

Skills

·  Electrical, Electronic Systems, Automotive or similar Engineering Qualification
·  Working knowledge in automotive electronics or adjacent industry
·  Ability to produce formal documentation to a professional standard
·  Organised, systematic and understand the process of fault finding
·  Broad experience of Body Electronics 'features' and electrical system integration
·  Experience with CAN(FD), LIN and Automotive Ethernet architectures
·  Understanding of Vector GmbH toolset (CANoe, CANalyser etc.)
·  Understanding of AUTOSAR implementations
·  Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS NG)
