Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers’ business needs and, consequently, for understanding customers’ businesses. As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships so as to insure customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge. Actively contribute to the company’s solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects. Shape technical direction and technical strategies within the organization and for external customers. Accountable for consistent and significant chargeability levels (or expense relief for internal project teams) and for assisting in meeting or exceeding revenue and customer satisfaction goals. Contribute to organization’s profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities and by providing technical support for deal proposal development.

Responsibilities:

·  Familiar with multiple  Windows Operating Systems -2003, 2008. 2012. 2016
·  Experienced in Windows Administration
·  Familiar with Windows Scripting.
·  Networking  and network configuration – Including FTP, Telnet,  Trace Route, Ping. Adding  and removing routes on a servers.  Understanding subnet mask and gateways. Understanding how to setup network cards on a server. TCPIP. WLAN and LAN.
·  Good knowledge of HBA / Fiber Channel Cards – What are paths, WWN?
·  Experienced with working with SAN on Windows servers.
·  Good knowledge of how to add and expand disk drives on a server.
·  Understands the concepts associated with Firewalls .
·  Familiar with IIS Component under various Windows Operating Systems outlined above.
·  Familiar with Anti- Virus patching tools- Symantec, Shavilk, SCCM and McAfee.
·  Good knowledge of Windows Active Directory- DNS, Kerberos Authentication, LDAP. Joining and removing a server from  a domain. Dynamic DNS.
·  Familiar with Symantec Netbackup, Data Protector and Avamar backup solutions.
·  Good Knowledge of VMWare 4.0+ and beyond
·  Would prefer someone with experience in configuring Virtual Machine under different VMWare iterations.
·  Proven technical skills. Looking for someone who is running not walking in terms of Windows Administration skills.  As the  environment does not lend itself to inexperience resources. CIBC is looking for experienced individuals to administer the servers.
·  Familiar with Microsoft Azure – Cloud Computing
·  Good knowledge of HP, IBM and Dell servers- Knowledge acquired through working with these server types over a number of years.
·  Experience with working with Remote Desktop ProtocolRDP to administer Windows servers.
·  Experience in opening, implementing and closing change records.
·  Has experience with formal change record processes. Comfortable with these processes.
·  Great communication skills. Someone who can talk tech, but can also carry on a conversation about the weather.
·  Familiar with HP Openview Tool set -  Focus on Alerting tool 11.xx  and 12.xx versions.
·  Comfortable updating Asset Management databases

Education and Experience Required:

·  8+ years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (11+ years in total).

Knowledge and Skills:

·  Hands on Wintel Engineer
·  Good understanding of VMWare/Hypervisors
·  Good troubleshooting and installation experience
·  Good knowledge of DXC tooling (Opsware aka SA, open view, SRA stack etc)
·  Good knowledge of storage, SQL, JBOSS  and WebLogic
·  Represent DXC on project meetings with PM @ client office as required
·  Will need to go to Data center and help in installation if required
