Summary
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Conduct Quality Assurance/Regression testing to support all functional development projects, along with major and minor Builds being deployed to Teamcenter.
• Must come up to speed to understand a challenging series of business processes and highly customized Teamcenter environment.
• Collaboration with Teamcenter developers, customers, and vendors to understand use cases.
• Create test cases to validate that the business requirements have been met.
• Create Teamcenter/ NX data for testing purposes.
• Manage test cases, reporting, and defects through HP Quality Center (HPQC).
• Communicate technical issues back to the development team and help provide root cause.
• Ability to clearly communicate and interpret technical requirements in a standardized way that is well understood by business partners, vendors, and IT delivery partners.
• Suggest business process improvements as well as enhance testing processes when observed.
Technical Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience in NX/ Teamcenter Unified Architecture.
• Past QA experience in testing role.
• Understanding of DEV, TEST, and PROD environments.
• Technically proficient: My Navigator, Structure Manager, NX Manager, Active Workspace, Change Management, building/modifying assembly structures, Rev Rules, Variant Rules, Feature Coding, Release process/Workflows, understanding of Groups, Projects, and Teamcenter security.
• Developer/ Admin skills (nice to have): UNIX/Linux/Windows skills, Java, JavaScript, C++, Perl, UNIX shell scripting, Oracle SQL, WebSphere, Visual Studio, Eclipse, CVS, GitHub, J2EE web application development skills, ITK developer toolkit, Teamcenter SOA.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong analytical problem solving skills and communication skills. Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
BS Degree, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science preferred,1-5 yrs experience
