Summary

Provides operations and maintenance support within a moderately-complex, medium sized Storage Area Network and Backup Enterprise environments. Coordinates storage provisioning, provides support of storage and backup infrastructure and services. Analyzes and monitors performance through the implementation of baseline changes and infrastructure upgrades. Assists in supporting the operation and maintenance of the company's storage and backup based systems and their deployment.

Job Requirements

·  Minimum 3 years of experience as a storage and/or backup administrator in enterprise environment.
·  Strong knowledge on (being certified in these technologies is an advantage):
·  Cisco SAN (MDS switches),
·  Veritas NetBackup (or strong knowledge and experience of other vendor backup products),
·  DellEMC DataDomain (or other vendor backup appliances)

General knowledge on storage arrays, such as:

·  Pure Storage Arrays
·  EMC XtremIO
·  EMC VNX
·  EMC VNXe
·  Basic knowledge on VMware, Windows, Linux, VCE vBlock, Pure Storage FlashStack.
·  ITIL knowledge (ITIL foundation certificate would be advantage )
·  Ability to work independently and as part of a team
·  Quick orientation and decision-making in stressful situations.
·  Willingness to work in flexible hours (weekend overtime, after business hours) if needed 10-20% of contracted work time
·  Willingness to participate in on-call duty and 24/7 response
·  English is required (speaking and writing).

Essential Job Functions

·  Provides support in defining and developing product architecture through the provision of designs and evaluation of storage and backup products in order to meet business needs.
·  Works with senior team members to ensure the appropriate storage level provisioning is maintained. May assist with monitoring server/storage/backup infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
·  Provides third level technical support, guidance and direction for storage and backup products supported. Resolves problems identified by system administrators or through monitoring software. Investigates, identifies and documents proposals that will improve application recoverability.
·  Coordinates and monitors troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents events to ensure continuous functioning.
·  Participates in testing, upgrades and configuration of system and services. Evaluates and ensures changes are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures; recommends revisions or changes based upon results.
·  Performs operation and maintenance support within a Storage Area Network and Backup Enterprise environments.
·  Collaborates with team members on the development and analysis of system standards, thresholds and recommendations to maximize system performance.

Basic Qualifications

·  Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related field preferred
·  Experience working with storage protocols
·  Experience working with Unix systems in a multi-site environment
·  Experience working with virtual technologies.
·  Salaryfrom 2000 EUR monthly gross to 2700 EUR monthly gross.
