What you’ll be involved with?
You’ll find yourself managing SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. Configuring and maintaining database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. You’ll be applying data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations. Refining and automating regular processes, track issues, and document changes. You’ll also be trained up using the latest in cloud technology and deal with migrations of on premise sets of databases to the cloud with AWS or MS Azure.
What do I need to succeed?
You will be a UK national working as a SQL DBA with MS SQL Server Administration experience as well as monitoring database activity and file usage, ensuring necessary resources are present. Determining data to collect and analyses information as appropriate. You’ll find yourself Investigating and resolving technical database issues of significance. Overseeing the analysis and determination of database performance characteristics, informational needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, proposed manipulation, data flow and storage requirements, and data output and reporting capabilities for more complex databases. Recommending and implementing tuning opportunities to improve system response and run times. This is a role that provides ample variety and exposure to some of the latest technology available and you’ll ideally be someone with strong experience in this field yet looking to continually challenge and build on your current MS SQL background.
