We’re seeking an energetic, ambitious team member to join our team in Williston VT.   This role will be part of an agile (self-managed) analytics technical team responsible for supporting the DXC Vermont Medicaid account and State of Vermont customers.   Are you willing to learn as much as possible about how state-provided healthcare programs support Vermont citizens?   Are you motivated to apply modern technologies to help provide insights into access to care and cost of care?   Full benefits including flexible vacation and flexible work hours to enable work-life balance for our high-performing team.  

Responsibilities:

·  Participates as a member of an agile technical team to deliver analytics and reporting solutions.
·  Assists team in improved technical solutions to solve client and DXC VT account business team requests.
·  Develops independently; participates in code reviews and may lead code reviews. May lead and provide mentoring and guidance to less senior developers.
·  Designs, prepares and executes unit tests.
·  Assists team in improving development methods and tools.
·  Works with account leadership to propose innovative solutions for clients.

Education and Experience Required:

Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3-4 years related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

·  ETL programming, strong Python scripting, strong SQL scripting, Linux shell scripting.  Experience with other programming languages a plus.
·  Knowledge of Health Insurance terminology and data is a plus.
·  Preference for Agile work patterns; ability to thrive in a self-directed team environment
·  Desire to contribute to continuous improvements in the team’s technologies and performance
·  Understanding of coding against relational databases such SQL Server and DB2.  Knowledge of OLAP, NoSQL, and other data storage architectures is preferred.
·  Strong understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management).
·  Basic understanding of testing tools and unit and integration test scripting, and testing methodologies.
·  Strong client and interpersonal communication skills; ability to translate business needs into technical solutions; ability to work collaborative with others; ability to mentor others.
