Basic Qualifications:

·  Mainframe Infrastructure with Systems Programming background.
·  Mainframe solution design and development of cost models
·  Mainframe service Delivery management
·  Pre-Sales experience - Handling RFP, RFS responses for large infrastructure bids.
·  Mainframe software estimation preferred.

Technology:

·  Mainframe Hardware - zSeries (z15,z14,z13,z12EC/BC, etc)
·  Storage: DS8000, TS7700
·  IBM Software - z/OS, CICS, DB2, zVM, zLinux, IMS, IDMS, RACF, JCL
·  ISV (Third Party Products) - CA, Compuware, BMC, ASG, Monitoring and scheduling tools, etc.

General Description:-

·  In depth knowledge of IBM zSystems hardware, software and Clustering technologies such as Parallel Sysplex, including data sharing technologies
·  In depth knowledge of mainframe storage technology
·  Expertise in technologies that mitigate risk such as disaster recovery and high availability
·  Understanding of technologies that provide improved availability and disaster recovery such as GDPS and replication
·  Experience with mainframe integration solutions using transaction managers such as CICS and WebSphere, connecting applications to Database technologies such as DB2 using JDBC and other connectors
·  Experience configuring z/VM for Linux on IBM z Systems
·  Deep understanding of security zones and network architecture
·  Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design based tools and techniques including conceptual solution component models, business process models, use cases, etc.
·  Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization (e.g., executive, management, individual contributors)
·  Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills
·  Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
·  Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsive to internal and external customers and contacts
·  May require in-depth knowledge of networking, computing platform, storage, database, security, middleware, network and systems management, and related infrastructure technologies and practices
·  Provide fully costed solution architecture to meet client and prospective client requests.
·  Responsible for working with the client to obtain the solution requirements for the infrastructure.
·  Responsible for presenting cost estimates for the mainframe solution implementation process and ongoing production support of the solution
·  Ensures infrastructure solution design fulfills functional and technical requirements and can consistently meet progress against service level agreements (SLAs.)
·  Position is remote with 25 - 50% travel
