As a Performance tester you will be required to lead testing activities on assigned projects around specific performance testing requirements. This will include the development of test plans, estimates and performance testing scripts. Under general direction of the Test Manager, formulates and defines systems performance testing scope and objectives using information technology and industry knowledge/requirements. Act as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input.  Ability to exercise independent judgment within the defined practices and procedures to determine the appropriate action.

Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

Responsibilities

·  Provide technical oversight in the design, development, execution and maintenance of performance testing processes and diagnostic programs for network systems development.
·  Lead, manage or execute functional testing to measure quality of functional (business) components and ensure that the product meets business objectives.
·  Provide innovative approaches to functional application testing and subject matter expertise in related tools and techniques.
·  Create and execute performance test plans for network systems development. Design, develop, implement and maintain test processes, scripts and diagnostic programs.
·  Conduct simple to complex performance testing, troubleshooting and analysis on network systems development.
·  Apply basic industry and functional area knowledge while authoring integration and system test scripts, configuration test questionnaires and other test materials. Execute requirements-based functional tests for application software. Perform testing, troubleshooting and analysis on the development of network systems.
·  Provide continual improvement recommendations/direction setting advice within work team
·  Customer Relationship Management: Balance internal needs with customers and/or internal businesses/end user’s needs within defined parameters
·  Defines, identifies, collects, and organizes detailed information relating to testing requirements.
·  Work as part of a team, which may be virtual, global, and/or multi-functional
·  Designs performance testing scenarios and test cases that will demonstrate conformance to all functional and non-functional requirements
·  Executes tasks related to the production of the Test Plan, test cases, test scripts, and test data.
·  Analyses the results of the testing process and recommends solutions.
·  Impart knowledge and share attributes of performance testing with the team to bring the teams knowledge level up in the area of performance testing, tools, techniques and approaches.

Education and Experience Required

·  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience.
·  ISTQB Foundation level certification
·  Typically, 5 years of relevant experience in FSI industry specifically secured lending.

Knowledge and Skills

·  Experience in tools like HP Load Runner/Performance Center / JMeter.
·  Excellent understanding of Performance Testing methodology for various delivery models including waterfall model, continuous integration / continuous development model or agile model.
·  Exceptional static analysis / requirement elaboration skills with a focus on elaborating clear and testable non-functional requirements.
·  Experience designing, planning and implementing an approach to non-functional testing on any project.
·  Experience in scripting (any language) tests to suit planned non-functional testing objectives.
·  Aware of the latest performance testing tools and monitoring tools and ability to decide on an appropriate tool.
·  A clear and demonstrable understanding of the principles of performance, load, stress, volume and penetration testing and an ability to articulate the differences and value in all approaches.
·  Proven ability to work with technical project roles to negotiate on implementing a robust non-functional test approach.
·  Highly capable in producing understandable and clear test reports.
·  The confidence to communicate and negotiate on test report findings internally and with the client.

Special requirements

·  Knowledge of FSI industry and secured mortgage lending procedures and policy relevant for the Australian Banking market.
