Essential Job Functions
· Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents moderately complex programs. Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.
· 3 years + Performance PLUS / Vantage/wMA Development experience.
· 3 years + Proficient in DSS, Life , UL and Trad Processing in Vantage.
· 5years + Mainframe experience
· Good knowledge of Vantage transactions for different functions of Annuity, Traditional and Universal life and group functionality
· Capability of designing the solutions within Performance Plus / wmA/Vantage framework for business requirements • Good knowledge of PPLUS/ Vantage/wmA Batch cycle & batch functions
· Designs systems and programs to meet complex business needs. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensures programs meet standards and technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery.
· Gathers information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements.
· Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.
· Domain: Insurance (Life and Annuity knowledge)
· Operating System: z/OS, Windows XP/2000/Vista
· Languages: COBOL, JCL
· Database: DB2
· File System: VSAM
· Communication: CICS
· Tools: MFE, , Endeavor, File Manager, File Aid
· LOMA certification if any
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field preferred
· Six or more years of programming or testing experience
· Experience working with appropriate programming languages, operating systems and software
· Experience working with relational databases to facilitate programming software
