iAction provides incident management and rapid response activities to major incidents for a multitude of secure clients within the Hub.
Responsibilities and Duties
iAction engineers will;
· Manage and resolve service impacting incidents
· Identify and implement automation, working closely with members of iSolve
· Be cross skilled (or be working towards this as part of development) on different capabilities/technologies
· Own incident completion end to end without having to hand off to other teams (unless outside of the hub or Workplace scope)
· Pursue continuous improvement through collaboration with iSolve team to document correct procedures and configuration recommendations
iAction engineers are required to cover shifts between the hours of 7am and 7pm in line with management and client expectation based at either the Newcastle or Erskine Regional Delivery Centers (RDCs).
iAction engineers report into a local Team Lead for their day to day activities and then ultimately into the iAction Workplace Manager, as outlined in the Hub Organization charts which can be found on Workplace: Darwin Digital Delivery Hubpage .
Qualifications and Skills
A successful iAction Workplace engineer should have the following skills:
· Experience in Cloud technologies
· Experience in Microsoft Office suite – especially Outlook.
· Experience of Software Delivery, Mobility, Citrix, SharePoint, Exchange Server, Office 365, Printing, Desktop.
· Working knowledge of digital delivery processes and methodologies
· Ability to work with an Agile Team, being able to be self-driven and looking for continuous improvements to both the process and the systems.
· You must be a UK national (dual nationalities are acceptable)
· Applicants must be ambitious and talented with a strong passion for a career in IT, looking to move into or already working in a 2nd line role
· Confident in delivering technical representation and collaborating on Priority 1 issues, including conference calls and handling technical resolution
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
· Excellent problem-solving skills
