Background
Remote Desktop Engineers required to join our 2nd line support team in Chorley.
Summary
This role is suitable for an engineer with knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Providing second line remote support to a range of customers
· Troubleshooting / provide solutions to End User desktop Incidents & Problems
· Ongoing Technical Learning
· Creating and updating knowledge articles to support the Service Desk & End Users
· Managing an incident workload in ServiceNow in order to achieve SLAs
· Prioritising and managing several open cases at one time.
Typical Outputs and Deliverables
- Troubleshooting/provide solution(s) to desktop Incidents including the following;
- Windows 7, Windows 10
- SCCM
- MS Office Applications
- Microsoft Outlook & Exchange
- Security managed via Active Directory & RSA 2FA
- Software / App management
- Hardware diagnostics across Desktops, Laptops, Tablets & Mobile Phones
· To work closely with internal teams
· Self Development.
· Adhering to internal business processes.
Key Attributes
· Strong troubleshooting skills and experience of windows operating systems
· Troubleshooting desktop issues
· Management of incident / problems
· ITIL– must understand principles
