Description

·         Responsiblefor answering 50-80 calls per day 

·         Assistsphysicians, hospitals and clinics with medical claim submission procedures for the CMS 1500 & UB 04 claim forms 

·         Assistsphysicians, hospitals and clinics with completion of provider enrollment applications 

·         Provideexplanation of claim payment questions 

·         Responsiblefor escalating complicated claim questions 

·         Providersupport for Web based applications & EDI claim submission 

Qualifications

  

Education and Experience Required:

·         Highschool education or equivalent. 

·         Typicallyrequires 1-3 years general experience, or equivalent combination of experience and college level education. 

  

Knowledge and Skills:

·         MedicalBilling Experience 

·         Superiorcommunication skills both written and verbal 

·         Excellentcustomer service skills, active listening skills, and proper phone etiquette 

·         Abilityto multi-task 

·         Computerproficiency, including use of web applications & Microsoft suite 

·         Problemsolving skills 

·         Accuracyin data entry 

·         Familiaritywith computer technology 

·         Overseecompliance with operating procedures and standards
