Summary:

Must have a general project management experience including direct supervisory responsibilities.

Manages and monitors project tasks and keeps abreast of all problems and accomplishments. Anticipates problems and works to mitigate the anticipated problems. As a team or project leader, provides direction for the project team. Can complete tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints. Schedules and assigns duties to subordinates. Skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions on projects to leadership. Interacts with customer management personnel. Executes projects within guidelines set by internal governance. Conducts reviews and status reports, orally and written, to drill down into issues on projects, identify risks, develop corrective actions, and communicate issues, impacts and corrective actions to project teams.

The role may require involvement in multiple, complex deployments covering a typical project life cycle from pre-sales and early engagement through to go-live and post go-live activities. This is a mobile role which may require long distance travel, hotel stays for long periods of time dependent on the assignment location and skills required.

Essential Job Functions

Takes full responsibility for all project finances including costs, revenues and invoicing. Identifies and assembles the appropriate team to meet project needs. Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the project. Leads the project team in determining customer requirements and translating into operational plans. Ensures adherence to legally binding requirements and customer long-term goals. Facilitates status review meetings among project team members and customers. Works with senior management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules. Proposes and develops add-on opportunities. Controls project requirements, scope, and change management issues. Coaches and counsels members of cross-functional teams to accomplish project, to meet established schedules or resolve technical/operational issues. Establishes appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria. Facilitates the creation of communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders. Liaises with the customer project manager and executives to foster trust and ensure accurate communication. Ensures all scope for the project is clear and communicated to all suppliers involved. Works with the local resources anywhere globally to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood and executed. Manages project issues and risks. Identifies and recommends contingency measures. Controls project financials and ensuring the project is within budget. Submits status reports as agreed with the customer and internal management. Develops and manages the project schedule. Manages technical issues and questions from suppliers. Oversees system integration testing and reports on the results. Coaches and mentors junior/apprentices members of the team

Essential Skills

·  Good understanding and experience in project management or similar role.
·  Professional project management training or certification e.g. PMP, APMP, PRINCE or equivalent experience
·  Willing and able to achieve the appropriate security clearance.
·  Energetic, highly motivated, self-starter.
·  Copes well with stressful situations and has a positive approach to overcoming obstacles.
·  Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
·  Strong communication and negotiation skills, credible in front of senior client executives.

·  Experience in Project Management or Consulting.
·  Experience working with technical products, vendors, and families of technologies.
·  Experience working with the product development life cycle and business processes.
·  Experience working with client business and technological requirements and company products/services.
·  Experience working with technology architecture, mainframes, scheduling software etc.
·  Experience working with programming design/concepts, coding languages, development tools, processes, approaches and/or techniques.
