Responsibilities:
· Manages customer project delivery.
· Large/ complex/ multiple regions or global.
· Responsible for E2E Application migration –Infrastructure domain- P2V,V2V,Build Ahead
· Manages project team.
· Functionally manages internal as well as external resources with a team size greater than 20 people.
· Mentors and encourages skill development of project team members through others.
Job requirements:
· Application migration management and Coordination between the CIO business groups, HPE Delivery teams and Live services / operations as required
· Create Solution agreement document (CMO-FMO)
· Set-up and Conduct Deep Dive meeting with applications team
· Manage application team (IT Application owner/CIO) end to end – Single point of contact
· Manage Audit process for physical moves
· Initiate Equipment purchase or VM allocation
· Creation of All RFS submissions
· Firewall preparation (via IP Mover and Firewall resources)
· Tooling Governance (Inc. maintain CLOTracker/DMT/MPM/schedule)
· Review / manage and execute migration schedule
· Scheduled migrations/activations, including handover/handback details and touch points.
· Adhoc tasks (ancillary host, database, networks and storage tasks)
· Secure Migration resources
· Produce / Supplement ‘Run Book’ based on information updated from the schedule, with detailed breakdown of migration steps.
· Overall management of Change Management requests
· Go/no-go meeting to provide final decision point.
· E2E for all Decommission
· Responsible for execution of migration tasks (supplemented with technical project team), including:
· extract actionable infrastructure data from golden sources to create a picture of an application’s current environment
· formulate an infrastructure optimization strategy, and prepare a master scope list
· Scope qualification
· recommend an optimization approach based on hardware, operating system, database, support lifecycle, application complexity, or hosting complexity or to align applications with the technology roadmap
· engage with CIOs and IT leaders to confirm current environment details, validate the approach, review role and responsibilities, and create a master schedule
· identify optimization program "opt-outs" based on technical attributes, target environment characteristics, and infrastructure readiness
· develop a methodology to right-size new infrastructure assets based on a review of benchmark data (e.g., RPE2), normal and peak utilization figures, and other data points
· initiate, plan, execute, and manage physical-to-virtual migrations under Windows and Linux
· initiate, plan, execute, and manage virtual-to-virtual migrations under Solaris to consolidate infrastructure or bring Solaris Zones into a centrally managed hosting environment
· migrate stand-alone Oracle and SQL Server database instances to a shared service or utility environment
· plan and run large operating system and database "security patching" program
· plan and run programs to identify and decommission orphan and unused infrastructure
· Plan, manage and coordinate the application migrations and related activities as per wave plans
· SPOC to client for each wave
· Run and manage Command Centers for each wave
· Manage Wave staffing, ensure sufficient resources are available to support each wave
· Liaison with various support teams on implementation tasks and ensure they are completed in timely manner
· End to end co-ordination of Lift & Shift Activities
· End to End Change Management (from submission, approvals to implementation, includes Technical and Business Verifications)
· Conduct post implementation reviews
· Attend regular and weekly meetings with project team members to discuss the wave progress, challenges, risks and issues
· Track and manage wave actions, issues, decisions and risks, including escalations to stakeholders in a timely fashion to avoid delays
· Manage communications with the Project Teams and Management on a daily / weekly basis both internally and externally
· Wave Status reporting to all stakeholders
· Maintain wave documentation (schedule, wave plans, communications, roles and responsibilities, escalation matrix)
