Campaign & Website Content Intern - Paid

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on the online promotion and PR of a gardening campaign organised by a high profile celebrity gardener.

Domoney Ltd and the Cultivation Street Campaign are looking for a driven and keen-to-learn team member who will be working on Cultivation Street 2017, helping to launch this year’s campaign and competition to success.

The successful candidate will need to be a motivated individual, with a willingness to learn new skills and work collaboratively with peers. An understanding and interest in gardening, horticulture, and plant knowledge would be a real advantage, but not essential.

The role will involve:

Liaising with garden centres, schools, competition entrants
Handling the campaign's website and social media accounts
Co-writing and designing email newsletters
Liaising with national press
Collating entrant information
Attending weekly brainstorming meetings
Creative writing and liaising with newspapers and magazines to meet copy deadlines
Researching methods to bring new users to our site
Researching industry writers, blogs; getting content published
Identifying ways to improve the look/feel of our campaign
Working as a team

Salary depending on experience.

Please note, this position is based in a rural area and you must have your own transport, Kineton CV35.

Desired profile

The key skills & experience which are desirable for the role are as follows:

- Good interpersonal / relationship management skills - The ability to work with individuals at all levels. For example liaising with horticultural organisations, media and PR

-Excellent English written and verbal communication with impeccable spelling and grammar.

-Positive, quick learner and self-starter attitude with desire to exceed expectations.

-Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, Google+).

-Proficiency with Powerpoint, Excel and Word are advantageous.

-Attention to detail, highly organised, with an absolute focus on quality of work.

-Educated to degree level is advantageous.

-Design skills (Adobe InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator) are advantageous

-Doesn't mind multi-tasking and re-prioritising (sometimes daily!)
