For the team at our Airline Catering site based in Heathrow we are looking for a motivated Flight Coordinator.

Objectives:

  • To provide excellent customer service to all our customers.
  • To ensure DO & CO quality standards are met all the times.
  • To make sure customer’s guidelines for packing and specifications are met.
  • To make sure all CAA rules are followed. ( full training will be provided)

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • To control complete flight packing and checking (which include food, airline equipment, bars) with assistance of food packing and tray set team.
  • Responsible to make sure required airline standards are met regarding packing plans.( full training and supporting documents will be given)
  • Responsible for cross communication amongst internal departments for any changes in flights as required.
  • Ensure both sides (Operational and customer service) are managed according to set standards.
  • Ensure on time delivery of the flights.
  • Ensure final checking of correct packing, by sealing trolleys prior to leaving site
  • Ensure correct loading of trolleys onto truck following the flight check sheets.
  • Control truck after offloading (inbound flights), match amount of loaded and offloaded carts
  • Prepare adequate handover to crew by submitting all paperwork (delivery notes) brief on menu changes, SPML’s requests, etc.
  • Ensure correct shift handover and reporting procedures, food shortages
  • Take proactive steps to ensure own skills and knowledge continue to improve in all aspects including technical and leadership.

Professional qualification and competences

Essential

  • Clean driving licence.
  • Basic Health and Safety / food safety.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Good level of English, written and verbal

Desirable

  • Previous airside working experience
  • Knowledge of aircrafts and galley loading
