The Opportunity
We have a vacancy for a legal advisor to support our claims function on a 12 month fixed term contract .

The legal advisor will provide clear, succinct and accurate legal advice to callers supporting the Direct Line Group legal expenses insurance claims process, ensuring speed of response and expectation management.

Key Accountabilities

To provide accurate and clear legal advice while meeting all regulatory requirements.

To provide general legal expenses policy guidance where appropriate, managing clients’ expectations, explaining decisions and the steps in the claims process clearly and succinctly, and ensuring you treat clients fairly at all times.

To deal with calls efficiently and pro-actively in order to contribute to the department meeting agreed service levels.

To identify learning & development needs and opportunities for self-progression

To identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriate to the role, in line with the relevant risk framework and in compliance with all DLG Legal Services policies and procedures and the SRA Code of Conduct at all times.

To maintain accurate records.

To work together with colleagues to build relationships with other departments and suppliers.

To support the strategic development of the department and firm by developing best practice and the client experience through continuous improvement initiatives. Skills & Experience require

The legal advisor must have proven experience of legal expenses insurance .

You will be a Law graduate or have equivalent qualification demonstrating sufficient technical legal knowledge

Knowledge of employment, contract and property law is highly desirable
