We are building a world class ISC planning organisation, based on standardised processes and ways of working and which will enable;

·  ISC to lead the planning arena, employing best practice in planning approaches to support delivery of the Diageo performance ambition
·  Optimised supply chain leadership, decision making and support to manufacturing operations, procurement and spirit supply across ISC
·  A single ISC management and reporting structure, with overall ownership of volume for shipment, production and inventory
·  A consistent ISC face to Diageo 25 markets

About the role

This specific role of the Supply Planner is to manage the operational and tactical production plan for the assigned site / production line groupings for full time horizon. Key is to balance our customer service objectives whilst maintaining optimal primary inventory, logistics costs (storage and direct dispatch) and production efficiencies. Take into account feedback from material and production scheduling and maintain the plan accordingly.

This role operates within a very complex network comprising supply from various ISC Supply sites and 3rd parties to Diageo’s defined group of 25 Markets.

Optimised Production Planning : Creating, Analysing and Agreeing Packaging Plans (MPS)

·  Understand the overall markets Demand and transform these requirements into a credible Supply Plan that satisfies customer needs.
·  Manage the supply network plan (frozen period to planning horizon) of the assigned business area to deliver target OTIFNE service and inventory levels.
·  Work collaboratively with Site planners and Market planners to deliver market requirements.
·  Analyse planning exceptions and resolve conflicts.
·  Manage market escalations and negotiate resolutions between Supply and the market.
·  Assist the S&OP process providing overview of supply response to demand signal to deliver market sales ambitions.
·  Link with Innovation to strengthen speed and support of new product launch.

Creating and Maintaining Static and Dynamic Data

·  Understand operational capacity, resources and constraints and make sure that they are reflected in the planning system.
·  Maintain planning parameters to deliver a robust and achievable supply network plan.
·  Continuously review and understand demand signal in the planning horizon and respond appropriately to changes in Demand.

Inventory Management

·  Balance the need for service / product availability and supply capability to determine the optimum level of primary inventory,  and manage, based on daily insights, stock adherence alerts and inventory projections
·  Support Primary inventory targets setting (AOP process) & deliver against the assigned targets.
·  Work jointly with Market planners to proactively identify and resolve primary SLOBs for the assigned lines.
·  Work jointly with the market planners to review and validate the primary stock provision.

Line & Site Intelligence & Analytics

·  Understand the line, site & resource constraints and make sure that they are reflected in the planning system to allow the generation of an accurate capacity & production plan.
·  Prepare monthly Rough Cut Capacity analysis and modelling for the assigned lines
·  SKU Portfolio Management & Clean-up: Analyse product portfolio, identify issues & opportunities and track the implementation of the improvement & clean-up plans
·  Supply a summary of the main line constraints as an input into ongoing S&OP conversations with markets

Parameter Optimisation

·  In partnership with Market Planners, Inventory Governance and Supply Schedulers review planning parameters and Primary finished goods inventory levels, to drive optimum service
·  Maintain relevant APO planning data and parameters to ensure fastest new SKUs introduction and systems performance (including interchangeability and other functionalities)

E2E Line optimisation (Domino BAU)

·  Review line optimisation as part of focused improved. Work with site subject Matter expert to define optimal cycle frequency, optimal changeovers and optimal cycle inventory. Using cycle scheduling tool to scenario plan opportunities to drive productivity.

NPI & Brand Change

·  Actively participate in NPI and Portfolio maintenance processes, govern new SKUs introductions, manage primary inventory for new products, keep line portfolio clean, advise possible solutions to keep the portfolio lean.

World Class Relationships & communications

·  Market planners: Site ambassador when talking with market planners
·  Site: Market ambassadors when talking with the sites

About You

Experience

·  Strong experience of Supply Chain Operational Processes.
·  Experienced user of a planning system (e.g. SAP APO, ECC6)

Qualifications

·  Appropriate supply chain related degree or equivalent work experience.
·  Second/Third level mathematical or statistical qualification or equivalent work experience.
