The Malt Distilling business has a wide geographical spread encompassing the following production sites:

Purpose of the Role

A proactive role with responsibility to Plan all maintenance activities for an engineering centre. This would involve working closely with SOM's, Operators, Maintenance Leads and Craft groups to ensure all mandatory and requested maintenance is effectively planned into the production schedule, ensuring the correct resource and spare parts are available to carry out the maintenance.

Work to ensure maintenance activity complies with Diageo Risk Management Standards, COMAH regulations and Manufacturing Excellence improvement activity.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities

Planned Maintenance – Using the SAP maintenance module, issue planned maintenance and work request task schedules to the craft group. Review completed planned maintenance tasks, ensuring all history is recorded, all follow up work requests are entered into the maintenance system and all completed tasks are closed down in the SAP PM module. Continually improve the level of details and information that is held within SAP PM database.

Planning –Lead and Develop Integrated planning meetings. The purpose of this meeting will be to agree a plan to ensure equipment availability and the resources required to complete the identified maintenance tasks. Ensure any task not completed as planned is managed back into the Planning process and tracked to completion.

Reporting – Provide frequent management reports on all SAP maintenance work. These reports to include Planning Effectiveness, Adherence to Plan, Comah compliance and Continuous Improvement activity. Report the reason for any deviation from the plan and review corrective actions.

Understand and review the maintenance KPI's. Review data within the SAP PM module and provide trend analysis information that will assist with identifying machine reliability and CI opportunities.

Prioritisation – Initial point of contact for all maintenance and adhoc work requests that are initiated from out with the Maintenance Team. Prioritise these work requests and action by issuing work orders to the appropriate resource.

REM (Review of Existing Maintenance) —Carry out regular reviews with the Maintenance Leads and Craft group, of mandatory Planned Maintenance tasks to ensure they are relevant to current needs and of the correct planned time duration.

Qualifications and Experience Required

Skills & Knowledge

·  A recognised technical background.
·  Working knowledge of SAP would be an advantage.
·  Excellent customer focus and interpersonal skills.
·  In-depth knowledge of Distilling & Malting processes. Experience

Minimum 3 years' experience working in a production or service environment, technical and or/management experience an advantage, though not imperative. Excellent communication skills, good attitude and professional conduct are vital.
