PACKAGING OPERATIONS APPRENTICE OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE IN CHESHIRE
WE ARE LOOKING FOR CONFIDENT, PASSIONATE AND INSPIRING APPRENTICES. IS THAT YOU?
We are looking for self-motivated individuals with high energy levels who are tenacious in their output and delivery. Our apprenticeships are an ideal place to start a career and be part of a growing and exciting organisation.
To be a great apprentice you'll need to be highly practical, a great problem solver and interested in how things move and work in order to join our Runcorn based site. In addition you will be an enthusiastic learner willing to grow and develop throughout a 2 year Apprenticeship and have a desire to take on more responsibility as your career develops.
WHAT WILL I LEARN?
· Practical on the job training coupled with ongoing learning, its hands on!
· An introduction to the end to end Manufacturing process
· An introduction into Manufacturing Excellence principles
· Learning about food safety, quality, environment & health and safety
· Machine maintenance & fault finding
Not only will you successfully manage to gain valuable work experience and learn practical skills, you will reinforce the theory via our external training provider, achieving industry standard qualifications. Ultimately, you will have the opportunity to become ‘Time Served' and continue to a long and prosperous career with a global, innovative and fast moving organisation.

We're looking for apprentices who not only have the capability to succeed in our organisation today but also have the potential to be our leaders of tomorrow. We are looking for someone who is committed to the role and Diageo from day one.
Diageo operators must be driven, determined and committed to their personal development. They will show pride in their achievements and build excellent relationships by working closely with Diageo employees. They must be willing to learn about the business, processes and how to resolve issues within Packaging Operations.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Minimum of 3 GCSE's Grade C and above (to include Math and English)
· Must qualify for Modern Apprentice programme criteria (as detailed on Gov.uk)
· Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Positive and flexible attitude
· Ability to demonstrate strong work ethos both individually and as part of a team
· General computer system knowledge and experience preferred – ability to functionally use Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are beneficial.
