Distillation and Maturation (D&M) are recruiting for a Manufacturing Excellence ( Manex) Lead, with a strong background in data analysis, based across our Cameronbridge Distillery and Leven site ,( alcohol production and cask warehouse)  known as CAMLE.  This role is offered at Level 5 on a permanent basis and will be key in leading the site through the manufacturing excellence journey.  

About the role 
This permanent role will be focused on driving an integrated continuous improvement programme across CAMLE by implementing TRACC. The role is part of the wider D&M Manex team and at times the role holder will be required to support activities at other sites, including malt distilling and maturation. The role holder will ideally be qualified to Sigma Black Belt.

CAMLE departments work a variety of shift patterns. At times it may be necessary to support a shift team with the implementation of TRACC during their shift.

The Manex Lead will work with the CAMLE teams to improve the performance of the distillery and alcohol processing activities.  This also includes the engineering and technical functions. 

What you will deliver 
Through leading and facilitating continuous improvement activities you will support the delivery of breakthrough performance improvements across CAMLE.
You will implement the TRACC manufacturing excellence system across CAMLE, delivering sustained improvements and standards, facilitating working sessions and build internal team capabilities. As a trained TRACC facilitator, you will prepare and deliver training sessions.  You will ensure standards and best practices are implemented & sustained across CAMLE and the wider D&M teams.  
As a lover of data and process efficiency, you will work with company’s data systems, identifying opportunities to deliver savings and world class operations process efficiencies. You will work with the operational teams and translate savings opportunities into practical solutions.
Qualifications and Experience Required
The MANEX lead requires a wide range of experience and knowledge to successfully perform this role: 
-Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
-Qualified in Lean Manufacturing techniques. Sigma Black Belt and a track record in delivering improvements.
-Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. 
-Working knowledge of SAP, data collection, analysis and visualisation software packages
-Financial analysis - ability to interpret and analyse data sources to identify loss & waste, cost saving opportunities.
-Experience of coaching and influencing a range of stakeholders for success.
-Knowledge and understanding of TRACC advantageous.
-Experience of facilitating multifunctional teams to drive successful outcomes.
-Intermediate project management skills.
-NEBOSH certificate desirable or willing to study for it.
-Degree in a manufacturing or STEM related discipline desired or equivalent through role experience.

Role holder must have at least 3 years work experience in a process environment with a proven track record in Lean Manufacturing and delivery of profit improvement projects within cross functional teams.
