Purpose of the role
·  To package a range of beverages at customer service levels, quality conformance and within budget.
·  To apply Health & Safety principles, Hygiene regime and HACCP recommendation as per business objectives
·  To apply technical, process, continuous improvement and team development skills to optimise overall site improvement and performance.
·  To adopt a safe and professional approach to all aspects of your role as an individual and team player.
·  To actively pursue training and development and acquisition of new skills on individual and team basis.
Context

Technical Operator role in flat structure, working as part of small, semi-autonomous shift based team. Production requirements need efficient and flexible team working in order to achieve the required targets. Role and responsibilities will stretch individuals and team approach to achieving goals. Change is ongoing and requires all individuals and teams to take responsibility for their training and development and ultimately, their future employability

Reports to Kegging Team Manager

Key Accountabilities

·  To provide a comprehensive production service across a wide range of roles, operating plant and equipment within Kegging, Maintenance, Quality and Information systems.
·  Sharing and applying new skills as acquired including Manufacturing Excellence principle, Continuous Improvement, Total Productive Maintenance Techniques and Training.
·  Develop and attain world class standards of performance / excellence.
·  With support from Kegging Team Manager, achieve production plans and key performance targets, responding to non-conformances to get process back on track.
·  Responsible for health, safety, environment and hygiene.
·  Procurement of materials and services where appropriate Capabilities Required

Functional Capabilities

·  Indentured or NVQ 3 craftsman with either relevant mechanical or electrical skills or graduate engineer / manufacturing
·  Core Skills – Electrical, Mechanical, Operational and Quality. Suitable candidate will have a minimum of 2 of these skills at expert level and one at basis level
·  Detailed Practical Knowledge and understanding of some of the following:-
·  Beer Packaging and Processing
·  Quality Analysis / Control
·  Mechanical Crafts Skills
·  Electrical Craft Skills
·  Siemens PLC S5 and S7
·  H&S Systems/PTW
·  CI (TQM/TPM/RCM)
·  Diagnostic and problem solving skills in production environment
·  High level of interpersonal effectiveness/ skills
·  Drive for self-development Experience
·  3 years experience/competence in a food or drink manufacturing environment
·  Craftsperson either indentured or with HNC/HND or NVQ3
·  Process Operation experience in FMCG (preferably food) environment.
·  Demonstrate detailed understanding of teamwork principles/TQM/CI/TPM/RCM techniques.
