Shopper marketing is a new and pioneering function at the forefront of both consumer and customer marketing and is currently seen as one of the most exciting and challenging places to be within our business.
Shopper marketing turns shoppers into buyers of our brands through shopper propositions that are aligned firstly to our category, customer and also brand goals. Within Diageo Shopper Marketing is in the unique position of being able to leverage the breadth of our portfolio across beers, wines and spirits to engage with Shoppers and Customers and define and lead the category growth agenda.
Purpose of Role:
· The role of the Innovation shopper marking intern has been created to support on developing compelling shopper and customer based commercial strategies across the innovation pipeline in the Off, On and Out Trade.
· This role will do research for trends, shopper's behaviours and learnings from past launches that help to develop commercial strategies for the innovation projects that will contribute to Diageo and customer's growth by turning shoppers into buyers and consumers of our new products.
Key Outputs:
· Data research for developing commercial strategies
· Follow up on launches execution nationwide
· Participate with the Mkt team and agencies of the trade BLT activities and visibility materials
· Execution of the commercial strategy, BTL activities, materials and KPIs with the sales team, Mkt team and CMO team, as well as taking their feedbacks and ideas as part of the strategy creation process, aligned with CP&A
· Continuous tracking of the Innovation projects scorecard and commercial activities KPIs (On, Off and Out trade), and creation of action plans to keep the brand on track
· Support on the development of world class Shopper Marketing and innovation capabilities and executions across the IMC
· Understanding of shoppers and guarantee that execution remains on it
· Ability to work cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders/partners to deliver and supervise platforms and activities
· Key internal interfaces: Shopper Planner, Brand teams, CP&A team and CatDev team
Qualifications and Experience Required:
· Ability to work in cross functional teams, aligning within CMO, Marketing and Sales teams
· Basic financial knowledge and numeric understanding
· Basic English
