Context
Within a maintenance & operational environment the job holder will be responsible for
•Working and acting in a safe manner at all times
•Fully maintain plant and equipment at Maturation South sites in a safe and reliable condition that will enable all site production and efficiency targets to be achieved.
•Supporting the sites completion of maintenance tasks across Maturation South sites operations
•Adopting key problem solving techniques to find route causes behind mechanical / electrical / instrument failures.
•Identifying opportunities to improve asset care and drive these ideas forward
•Completing timely, comprehensive and accurate reports on SAP PM
•Ensuring quality workmanship is delivered
•Developing their own knowledge and understanding of equipment used across Central Sites
•Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations and relevant legislation and standards.
•The Electrician often works alone, therefore, this role requires decisions to be made and work planned using own initiative

Keeping costs down by providing innovative and cost effective engineering solutions to drive continuous improvement agenda.

Market Complexity

Maturation South Sites Warehousing, Disgorging, Blending and Filling operations across 10 sites. Approx 2.1m productive cask movements per year, Filling volume circa 190mla, disgorging 135mla. Coopering operations at Cambus producing circa 250,000 casks per annum.

Purpose of the Role

You will ensure that all craft maintenance activities are carried out to a high standard which meets or exceeds targeted outputs and goals in term of quality and customer service. Demonstrates drive and commitment to complete SAP notifications and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to ensure departmental KPIs are achieved.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities

Completing all planned asset care activities on time and to a high standard
Seek opportunities through continuous improvement to make a difference in our asset care strategy – challenge existing ways of working to improve plant availability and increase Mean Time Between failures (MTBF) of key assets
Input timely and accurate data on to our asset care recording system – SAP PM

Qualifications and Experience Required

Must be a time served electrician with HNC qualifications or equivalent experience.
Ideally you will be CoMPEX trained for electrical equipment in hazardous areas.

Skills/Knowledge

An understanding of warehousing and blending operations would be an advantage.
A confident and effective communicator, ability to work in partnership with a range of stakeholders internal/external to Diageo.
A sound understanding of SAP planned Maintenance systems is essential. Familiar in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel packages.
Ability to challenge effectively and constructively.
Experience of working under PTW systems and be risk orientated
