Leadership Responsibilities
· Key member of Site's Governance Team
· Performs role of Site Management Representative for ISO 9001.
· Line Management responsibility for team of 2 x Band 5 Staff. Purpose of the Role
· To provide Functional Leadership in the area of Compliance Management on-site covering; HMRC, Licence to Operate Audits, Internal & External Audits, GAR Audits Business Management System, Toll Manufacturing, Records Retention, CARM and ISO 9001.
· Key responsibility for invoking Business Continuity Management processes during system outages.
Top Accountabilities
· To ensure compliance with Legislative & Company Risk Management standards and Policies.
· Ensure that site compliance risks are identified using appropriate risk assessment process and manage actions to mitigate.
· Co-ordinate all relevant audit activity and manage process to deliver successful outcomes.
· To ensure site complies fully with all HMRC obligations, appropriate management checks are in place and independently audited.
· Troubleshoot problems encountered within transit to markets and assist to remove blockages.
· Key site contact for all HMRC communications and reporting.
· Act as Management Representative for ISO 9001.
· Report on status of all audits and associated action management.
· Manage Controls and Assurance of Risk Management (CARM) compliance.
· Oversee annual review of CARM Design Assessments and manage plan covering internal and external testing and implementation of corrective actions deemed required. Key Responsibilities
Ensure Site/business area:
· Compliance to C&E legislation, Diageo policy, standards and protocols.
· Ensures the relevant management system is maintained and developed.
· External C&E Liaison for site/Business Area.
· Responsible for Monitoring/Reporting for monthly C&E KPI's.
· W Returns & W1A Returns. Ensure submission is on time and departmental controls and checks can demonstrate accuracy.
· Investigates, reports and drive improvement actions following any C&E incidents.
· Implement C&E Strategy.
· Overall responsibility for site /Business Area C&E CARM/SAO Controls
· Independent Assurance/GAR audit – C&E requirements.
· UK Duty Stamp compliance, application, Storage and record keeping.
· AEO/C-TPAT Compliance.
· Ensure and approve Compliance with Authorised destructions process.
· Annual Stock check process programme.
· Conduct site Track & Trace requests for site.
Qualifications & Experience
· Educated to degree level.
· Minimum 3 years C&E experience preferably within food & drinks industry.
· Experience in dealing with C&E and other legislative bodies.
· Proven track record in managing C&E related activities.
· Proven people management experience.
· Sound functional knowledge of HMRC legislation as it applies within the Drinks Industry (Spirit Supply, Packaging and Export).
· Experience in one or more of the areas of risk: C&E, Risk and Assurance and Security.
· Audit qualification or relevant experience
· Ability to influence outwith areas of authority at all levels across the site
PC/System literate, able to develop and deliver training material also to prepare and deliver communications.
