Exciting New Opportunities in One of Scotland's Oldest Distilleries –
The purpose of the Brand Home Guide is to bring to the life the World Class whiskey making process whilst ensuring to captivate the rich history and technical expertise of Oban Distillery amid the 5 Star Visitor Attraction facilities.

This role will also support the Brand Home Manager and Brand Home Lead Guide in all aspects of managing the Brand Home facility and promoting the Oban brand. The role requires a high level of customer care by welcoming, leading, informing and enthusing visitors during the tour of the distillery and brand reception area. Previous experience in a hospitality/customer service/sales environment would be advantageous in order to accommodate all visitors and maximise sales.

There are several part time positions available which vary in the number of annualised hours worked throughout the year including 2 day, and weekend shifts. Please note that all successful candidates will be required to be flexible with regards to working hours and must be available on weekends.

The number of hours stated below will be the total number of hours contracted to do throughout the year however the vast majority of these hours will be worked within the “Core” months also mentioned below. (for example you could work 4 hours one week outside the Core Months and then 37.5 hours another week that is in the core months)

·  522 Hours per annum – Core months and hours will be between June and September
·  522 Hours per annum – Weekend position - (2 Positions available) there is some flexibility to the patterns of weekends that you will work
·  642 Hours per annum – Core months and hours will be between May and September
The Ideal Candidate

·  Educated to Higher standard or equivalent
·  Demonstrated ability to work within a flexible organisation
·  Willing to work towards achieving a General Certificate in Distilling
·  Demonstrate a clear understanding of the whisky making process and the key quality messages which relate to the site and the associated brand(s)
·  Demonstrate a clear awareness and understanding of all legislation factors necessary for the fulfilment of duties within the guiding remit regarding HMC & E, Health and Safety and Environment
·  PC Knowledge:- Windows Operation System, Word Processing (Word), Spreadsheet (Excel) and Presentation (PowerPoint).
·  Proficiency in languages is desirable but not essential
·  Recent experience of the challenges of working within a prestige visitor facility providing highly focused and effective marketing support and high quality hospitality
·  Previous experience of working within a customer focused environment
