Your task

Responsibilities

· Takes overall responsibility for the second level operation, monitoring and control of Backup and restore,ensuring that procedures are observed and applying fixes
· Perform the Incident Management and Change Management activities within the scope of operation
· To monitor availability and performance of Storage Services to ensure that agreed service levels are met, using tools, processes and systems as appropriate
· To provide second line technical support, including the communication of complex problems to appropriate support teams/software vendors timely and effective manner
· Propose proactive/improvement initiatives towards improvement of efficiency in NAS Storage operations and implement resolutions as appropriate.  Coordination between other technology support teams is highly required
· To closely monitor SLA and KPI are delivered to customers and ensure that proper customer expectation are achieved

Requirements

· Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in providing second level production support for Enterprise Backup solution
· Hands-on day to day administration, incident management, change management and troubleshooting on backup infrastructure
· Experience with Comvault Simpana, Symantec Netbackup , IBM Trivoli Storage Manager and Legato netvault
· Ethernet experience with ability to work with network administrators to troubleshoot network issues
· Individual must be process oriented with a focus on metrics tracking for Change Mgt, Incident Mgt, end user support, Event Mgt, and Vendor Mgt
· Individual is expected to collaborate with other team members in the local teams and global teams as well as coordinate work effectively with vendors.
· Individual must be comfortable working on shift if required and/or weekend work hours to accommodate day to day activities and participate in an on-call rotation schedule
