Position: Warehouse Supervisor

These are exciting times at DHL and we are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to join us as a  Warehouse Supervisor.

You will be responsible for maximising the performance of the operation by directing the daily, weekly and monthly activities; providing leadership, motivation, training and development of the workforce, executing against customer requirements, operational performance and "making DHL a great place to work".

Key Responsibilities in this role will include ; 
Delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
Delivery of a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
Monitor performance of team members on a daily basis
Carries out Health and Safety accident/incident investigations
Communicate work practices, procedures and methods to team members, as required
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
Basic understanding of site costs

Key skills and experience in this role will include:
Essential
Educated to high school (secondary) standard
1 year management experience
1-2 years logistics industry experience
Ensures staff are able to follow work procedures and safety rules
Ability to give out clear and precise directions and instructions to the team
Ability to communicate effectively with team members
Able to develop Team Members
To display a flexible approach towards work and the role
Computer literate
Knowledge of H&S requirements
Effective communication


Desirable
Forklift certificate
