We currently have multiple openings for on call Warehouse/Ramp Service Agents at the Los Angeles Airport. These positions provide operational support to the Los Angeles Gateway, and will ensure the efficient and timely handling of customer materials and shipments while adhering to all FAA, TSA, Customs, and DHL company policies and procedures. He/she may also be responsible for Hazmat inspections and ensuring that all planes are loaded and/or unloaded according to company SOP’s.

Key Accountabilities:

Assists with operational procedures including sorting, loading/unloading activities, shipment processing and documentation, manifesting, bagging, sending shipment status information
May process or prepare import/export documentation to assist in the customs clearance process import/export documentation
Operates RF scanners in the breakdown of material to determine customs status and sorts product accordingly.
Sorts and scans product allocating product to specific load units for exportation.
Facilitates drop off and recovery of material to and from commercial airlines.
Assists with the load/unload of DHL aircraft adhering to policies and procedures to facilitate the on time departure and safety of co-workers and flight crews.
Handles shipments and provides feedback; attempts to resolve damaged or misplaced shipments to ensure timely transit through the gateway.

Key Requirements:

HS diploma or GED required
1 year experience in ramp operations, airline or hub environment
Intermediate service, production, or support role having greater responsibility to perform all (or most) of the standard work within the function
Must pass FAA and TSA background and security checks to acquire a SIDA badge to work at LAX Airport.
Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to seventy (70) lbs occasionally
Must be able to lift forty (40) lbs frequently
Must be able to walk, climb stairs, reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop and crouch repeatedly
