These are exciting times at DHL and we are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to join us as a Transport Debrief Clerk.

• To maximise the performance of the transport operation, through the effective management of de briefing drivers within the transport department , providing support for the management team, executing against customer requirements, operational performance and "making DHL a great place to work".  Ensuring health and safety and site regulations are adhered to.
• Responsible for the first point of call for all driver issues, defects and agency driver communication ensuring the delivery of high quality and cost effective service to the customer
• Responsible for allocating driver routes and contact all drivers to confirm their schedules and ensure all non-compliances are reported to the Transport management team and quality is delivered to a high standard and in line with DHL standards
• Assist the management team in controlling and issuing fuel cards, site maps to all drivers and report any discrepancies to the line manager

Key Responsibilities in this role will include:
• To ensure all drivers are de briefed at the start and end of each shift recording any vehicle defects and highlighted to the management team
• Assist in the preparation of weekly reports and delivery of key performance indicators (KPI's) to meet contractual terms and DHL expectations
•Monitor drivers attendance and contact them with any anomalies in conjunction with DHL HR policies whilst ensuring accuracy at all times
• Communicate effectively with all internal & external departments
• Responsible for providing all drivers with accurate information for them to achieve the on time delivery of goods target set by the customer and DHL
• Driving customer value by driving process improvement and continuous improvement across all elements of the business
• Providing effective communication throughout to ensure any discrepancies are addressed and reported to the relevant personnel/ department
• Provide support for First Line Managers,TOC's and the Transport manager
• To work closely with the Warehouse team with regards to ensuring the vehicles are loaded on time and the driver is ready to deliver the stock to stores

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

• 1 years of experience in a busy Transport environment and excellent people management skills
• Proven administration skills
• 1 years experience in a administration role
• Good knowledge of Transport Regulations
• Knowledge of Working Time Directive and Drivers hours Legislation
• Ability to work in a pressurised environment
• PC Skills (Excel/Access) – Intermediate level minimum
• Analytical, organisational and motivational skills
• Good communication skills
• Health & Safety Legislation Knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as an individual but also to work as part of a team
