The role
IT systems are an essential element of DHL Supply Chain Benelux’ business. The team of Technical Business Information Analysts plays a crucial role in the implementation of all WMS, TMS and DMS systems, as well as related applications (e.g. T&A). You will do this for large customers in sectors such as Technology, Consumer, Retail, Life Sciences and Automotive. 

Your day-to-day activities
The WMS takes a pivotal place in your day-to-day activities. You will be working on WMS configurations in projects and/or change requests. The emphasis of your role is on configuration, testing and documentation of applications and their interfaces. You will do this based on customer requirements and a solution blueprint which will be provided by the Lead Business Information Analyst. 

As a Technical Business Information Analyst with DHL Supply Chain Benelux you will be working with our strategic WMS JDA (RedPrairie) WM/D. You will primarily configure within existing/available system functionality, but customer-specific functionality may require advanced configuration and development using MOCA. Obviously you will also test configurations and developments, and make sure everything is properly documented. 

Besides the WMS you will also work on peripheral applications. You will integrate the JDA WM/D WMS with our transport (e.g. Centiro) and duty management (e.g. Langdon) solutions, as well as with the customer through our dedicated integration hub DHL Link. 

You will also be involved in go-live and hypercare support, as well as hand-over to the operations team and the support organization.

Main responsibilities
As a Technical Business Information Analyst for DHL Supply Chain Benelux your responsibilities include (depending on the level of maturity):
1. Designing and governing IT solutions
• Working out in (configuration/development) detail initial blueprints of innovative and standardized E2E IT solutions as defined by Lead BIA(s)
• Working out in detail improvements of existing IT solutions
• Acting as the go-to expert for complex technical questions on IT solutions
2. Analyzing and translating requirements
• Understanding business requirements, processes and prescribed IT solutions in all their details
• Working out IT solutions in further (configuration) detail
• Guide towards a standard solution
3. Realizing a chosen solution
• Configuring IT systems (WMS, TMS/CIMS, DMS, etc.) as part of the solution
• Writing functional specifications for reports, application changes and interfaces (e.g. for suppliers)
• Integrating systems with customers and across applications
• Creating and executing (non-UAT) tests, documenting and communicating results
4. Preparing for “go-live”, support during “go-live”
• (Supporting) data collection activities, incl. verifying collected data and executing data conversion
• Supporting business during “go-live”
• Documenting overall solution as part of project closure activities

Your profile or how to be successful in your job
• Bachelor or Master degree (College/University) in an IT or business discipline, or relevant experience preferably in supply chain and/or logistics sector;
• Minimally 3 year experience with the setup of logistics processes and related applications;
• You’ll need good analytical skills;
• Perfect ability to translate process requirements into system requirements;
• Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience / vice versa;
• Good interpersonal skills, including customer and supplier contact;
• Detailed knowledge of logistics processes (warehousing and transportation);
• Proven configuration knowledge of JDA RedPrairie WMS, or ability to master in short/accelerated timeframe based on proven experience of other WM systems;
• Detailed and active knowledge of SQL;
• Knowledge of MOCA is an advantage, although we focus on deploying standard configuration;
• Knowledge of BABOK is an advantage;
• Good testing and training skills;
• Willingness to travel frequently within the Belgium/Netherlands region (driver’s license required) with potentially some additional international travel;
• Willingness and ability to work in a high-pressure demanding environment;
• Good knowledge of Dutch & English - written and verbally.
