Salary: Circa £20,000 DOE
Customer : Homebase
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time), Late Shift 2pm-10pm

These are exciting times at DHL and we are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to join us as a Stock Controller to support the warehouse operation to successfully distribute stock throughout the customers network by maintaining acceptable levels of stock integrity within the distribution centres.
Key Responsibilities in this role will include:
• Location Counts within Timescale
• Accuracy on Counts
• Detailed Investigations
• Prompt Reporting of Inaccuracies + Missing Stock
• To provide a comprehensive stock control service, supporting the inventory + systems managers, whilst maintaining stock integrity, minimising the customers and DHL Supply Chain's contractual stock loss liability
• Perform daily and weekly Perpetual Inventory counts to maintain Integrity of the stock file
• Resolve any discrepancies found within the stock files. Housekeeping
• Assist the receiving department. New line set up’s, to ensure stock is received on to site accurately and on time
• Identify potential threats to stock file and work with Line Manager to identify and implement long term solutions
• Ensure that the Warehouse Management System is maintained accurately at all times
• Produce timely and accurate stock reports when required
• Ensure that all Stock Procedures are adhered to at all times. Maintaining Health and Safety Standards at all times
• Main liaison point for all Stock related issues
• Support and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
• Ability to learn and operate / use internal WMS
• Ensure that procedures for stock adjustments are followed

• Carry out empty location checks
Key skills and experience in this role will include:
• A good understanding of Customer operations and organisation
• Excellent working relation with key Customer contacts
• In-depth product knowledge required
• Full understanding of warehouse management systems
• Understanding of business objects data query tool
• Excellent product knowledge required together with a complete understanding of Customer defined stock rotation requirements
• Complete understanding of product production types/capabilities
• Understanding of potential stock transfer times between sites
• Good level of general education required
• Prior experience in Stock Control required
• Good IT system skills required (Microsoft systems, Excel etc.)
