Overall role purpose:

With the establishment of the House of Pricing (HoP) concept, a globally aligned process, universal formats and governance will enable DGF ocean freight to do timely, complete and competitive pricing on large and complex bids. HoP is the pricing department of the Regional Ocean freight Commercial Center (Regional OCC). Regional OCC gatekeepers do decide on pricing strategy and HoP translates it into instructions to countries to quote.

The Regional OCC Pricing specialist is responsible to translate customer file (Customer Pricing Template, CPT) into an Internal Pricing Template. The format of this IPT is structured and aligned globally and allows countries to quickly and consistently provide their rates. Indeed, the specific pricing/population of the IPT is done by the country OCCs, acting as the pricing desks of country organizations. The coordination of the country specific rate collection, consolidation of replies and front end/back end IPT/CPT conversion is done by the Regional OCC Pricing Specialist.

Accountabilities:

• Manage Pricing process during an RFQ to achieve high hit rate and RFQ turnaround in time

• Drive and supportnew pricing process, standards (e.g. T&Cs) and quality

• Execute pricing campaigns (e.g. seasonal special offers)

Organizational process/ method/ service advancement:

• Translate global pricing instructions received from Gate Keeper into bid instructions for involved regional/country OCCs

• Instruct country OCCs and ensure timely delivery

• Check all received CT pricing input for quality e.g., Completeness, Adherence to pricing instructions, Adherence to DGF standards (e.g. T&Cs), Sanity checks where possible, Consistency checks, Peer reviews on other team members' RFQs

• Drive and support agreed pricing process, data quality and compliance

• Drive bidding process for additional lanes/rounds

• Ensure quotation integrity

• Roll-up country input into regional bid response

• Manage IPT document to make it TMS format compliant

• Input continuous improvement topics

• Ensure countries replies increase in quality, timeliness, response rate by supporting them in HoP pricing processes

Functional Experience:

• 3-4 years of experience

• Experience with business intelligence tools and platforms

• Experience applying Project Management skills and principles including scheduling, resource allocation, task dependencies and coordination

Desired profile

Skills/Qualifications:

· 
Deep knowledge of OFR forwarding business and understanding of supply chain logistics

· 
Proficient understanding of OFR product offering

· 
Strong project management skills paired with pro-active behaviour to stay on top of multiple deadlines for multiple bids in parallel

· 
Good communication skills to properly engage with country OCCs for different countries and cultural backgrounds

· 
Strong analytical mind ideally paired with ops experience to be able to quickly understand and challenge country bid input

· 
Ability to work under pressure to cope with periods of high workload and tight timelines

· 
Proven ability to work independently and as a team member

· 
Experience in working within a global organization is desirable

· 
Computer skills

Fluent Excel use – including formulas and large size tables

Fluency in English
