DHL Same Day is a 24x7x365 expedited transportation company which is part of DHL Global Forwarding. Our corporate office is located in Sterling, VA. We are looking to staff our QCC Operations Center with one proactive, results driven Lead Dispatcher.

*MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKEND HOURS.*

Responsibilities for this position include:

· 
Lead team of dispatchers, monitoring Agent service levels and troubleshooting problems as well as providing a World Class customer experience by surpassing client expectations.

· 
Work with rest of Same Day team to monitor domestic and international shipping activity.

· 
Monitor service levels of team and proactively address lapses and issues.

· 
Work with Agent procurement to find, hire and train couriers who will deliver our critical packages around the world.

· 
Provide exceptional leadership to team and inspire group to provide and exceptional customer experience.

Qualified applicants will have:

· 
2+ years in a transportation leadership role

· 
Proven track record managing multiple priorities and expectations within a fast paced operations environment.

· 
Must have a thorough background working with independent contractors/drivers and have demonstrated a solid problem solving ability.

· Should possess diverse technology skills to include MS Word and Excel. Prior experience working in an automated dispatch environment is preferred.
· Must be process driven and oriented toward achieving positive/successful outcomes.
· Prior International shipping experience in Air Freight.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred.
