Position: LGV Driver DDA (Driver assessor)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

As a LGV Driver/ DDA you will be responsible for ensuring that you support the CDC with driving duties for store delivery and X-Docking, driver assessments for new and agency drivers, this will include all aspects of customer SOP training, Risk Assessment SSOW training and sign off, manual handling site induction. All on-going driver development training to include Smiths/ Microlise, compliance alert briefings, accident investigation and re-training, delivery point risk assessments. Warehouse associate site induction SSOW & Risk Assessment training and on-going development/

Key Responsibilities in this role will include;

Support the operation to ensure drivers are operationally trained and achieving Microlise bench marked scores
Support the delivery of key operating measures
Contribute to meeting and exceeding the customers requirements. Work closely with the warehouse and Transport Supervisors to ensure all service levels agreements are achieved.
Contribute to a safer environment through on-going training and refresher training to maintain high a high standard
Support the site with compliance training to include Tachomaster training and re-training for infringement sign off.
Support the continuous standards of compliance
Manage team to make sure all are in scope for H&S matrix
Support the site management team in accident investigation and re-training assessments
All driver assessment and training core and agency
Complete site inductions for warehouse and drivers to include warehouse training in customer SOP's and SSOW & Risk assessment sign off
Support the deliver high quality, customer focused service
Work in collaboration with the customer / other DHL sites to maximise efficiencies and best practice
Ensures compliance to all site processes and procedures
Actively champion a culture of continuous improvement
Identify and target new opportunities and engage with management to to implement

Desired profile

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

LGV Licence
DDA assessor qualification
Manual Handling training
H&S at work (supervising standard)
Smiths trainer qualification
Risk Assessor & SSOW trained
Minimum of 3 years experience in a DDA role
Previous experience of supporting, managing or leading teams
Exceptional and demonstrable record of delivering against targets
Change management
Influencing skills
Accountability
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Maximise accuracy, productivity and space utilization
