What are you accountable for achieving as an Inventory Manager? 
We are offering one exceptional candidate the chance to be an Inventory Manager to plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of the inventory team, providing effective communication, leadership, motivation, training & development.
Responsibility for maintaining and managing inventory integrity.
Continually review and enhance WMS strategies to optimise performance.
Ensure the perpetual inventory process is operated to plan with results analysed and corrective actions implemented.
Responsibility for managing and minimising DHL's contractual stock loss liabilities.
Identify and manage improvements to warehouse layout to ensure put-away and picking efficiencies can be maximised
Support the wider team with inventory management expertise"      

Ensure accurate control of inventory up to and beyond the KPI levels expected by the customer and DHL    
Plan and manage all stock counts and audits of inventory                                                                                   
Develop & maintain effective inventory process to ISO9001 level, incorporating warehouse management systems         
Produce accurate stock Key Performance Indicator reports, analyse and recommend changes to Standard Operating Procedures to enhance accuracy and operational effectiveness       
Put in place procedures to monitor and minimise stock losses and investigate all shortages and discrepancies       
Publish detailed reports on location accuracy, stock gains and losses and financial impact on a daily and weekly basis   
Manage the process of customer returns ensuring that product is dealt with in a timely manner            
Train team members to ensure that inventory control procedures are fully implemented                          
Implement procedures to maintain cycle counting and perpetual inventory                                                    
Understand DHL's stock loss contractual liability and ensure any potential risk is effectively mitigated                                               
Produce timely and accurate management information & reports as required                              
Manage and motivate inventory team - ensure adequate inventory team cover available across all operational shifts 
Control of team budgeted hours and costs    

What will you need as a successful Inventory Manager?

1-2 years experience of working in inventory environments                                                                                
Process management skills                                                                                                                                          
3-5 years experience of working in warehouse environment                                                              
Desirable
Experience of working within budgetary constraints                                                                                             
Report writing skills                                                                                          
Tyre knowledge.                                                                                                               
Basic working knowledge of Red Prairie WM                                                                                           
Understanding of ISO9002 - 2001 standard                                                                                               
Presentation skills - preparation and delivery                                                                                                          
Educated to High School (secondary) standard                                                                                       
Certificate/diploma in Inventory Management
