Your function:

As H&G ITSS Application Analyst , you will be part of a team which is responsible for the Software Development of AS400. These are IBM systems for the Hubs & Gateways in Europe and Central America.

The H&G IT Application Analyst 's primary role will be project analysis and management. You will act as the main interface with local, regional and global process owners, application experts and super-users, with the added benefit of building up an extensive network. This means that you will have to be knowledgeable about the different applications so that you can help these people with any questions they have. The main application you will work with is AHS of which the owners are situated in Bonn. As such, an added bonus is close cooperation with the office in Bonn.

In addition, subscribing to regional bulletins services and gathering, reviewing and distributing info on relevant operational and technical changes and events to the entire team is one of the main responsibilities of an H&G IT Application Analyst . In order to optimize your work, participation in the H&G ITSS management team meetings and providing regular reporting and KPI data will be required.

Being in contact with such a large diversity of people, this function requires independence and a strong sense of responsibility. For this reason, people management is another key accountability in which you will need to excel. This includes communicating confidently and effectively and building strong relationships across multiple project and operational teams. Equally, giving guidance to peers, developers and partners in the context of application functionality is of paramount importance. Also, establishing courses of action for self and others is required to ensure that the work is completed efficiently. Lastly, a strong engagement towards learning and developing oneself on all relevant DHL systems, processes and tools through internal or external training sessions is greatly appreciated.

Your profile:

·  A graduate degree (or equivalent) in applied informatics or computer sciences or equivalent through acquired competences
·  3-5 year of business oriented experience in an operational support, application expert or analyst role within DHL, with focus on transportation and containerization processes
·  3-5 years direct experience with related applications such as AHS, NMIV, or relate transportation and messaging tools
·  Knowledge of or experience with IBM AS/400 I-Series applications in general
·  Good analytical skills and a result-oriented attitude
·  Customer-oriented and great communication skills
·  Team player while also being able to function individually
·  Fluent in English
