These are exciting times at DHL and we are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to join us as a General Manager 

Leadership of the DHL contract on the Sainsbury’s account for the Shire Park TU boxed clothing site
To maximise the weekly, monthly and annual performance at the Shire Park site providing leadership, focusing on customer requirement, effective operational performance, colleague engagement, succession planning and making DHL a great place to work. 
To deliver sustainable growth and business performance through effective management of operations at Shire Park
Responsibility for ensuring delivery of superior service levels and operational excellence 

Key Responsibilities in this role will include; 

Account management
Operations Management
New Business implementation
Business Development
Team Leadership
Full P&L responsibility for the Sainsbury’s Shire park contract
Operational responsibility for the Sainsbury’s Shire Park contract
Develop and agree the operational budget and deliver against the budget
Drive and deliver organic growth
Develop and maintain strong relationships with the customer's management team
Ensure all aspects of service performance are delivered to target
Ensure financial performance is within the agreed budget
Ensure all new business projects are delivered on time and within budget
Build trusted relationships with ROMs to ensure all operational requirements are met
VP Operations - line manager
Head of Transport & Development - RCT Collaboration
Build relationships with DHL (Retail and other BU)
Lead salary review process on the account
Lead any RFQ process for any new or organic business growth
Develop strong management capability through effective performance management, mentoring and development of the team
Develop robust resourcing and succession plans
Manage within the organisations HR processes to create a positive work environment
Fully embed DPDHL First Choice management principles at all sites within remit

Key skills and experience in this role will include:


3 years’ experience managing within Supply Cain Division
Proven track record in Logistics
Experience of project and change management.  
Operations management with P&L responsibility
Management of a team previously
Knowledge of sector customer trends and needs - specifically clothing
A Level or equivalent
CPC National & International - Desirable
