As a Freight, Bill and Audit Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring that you provide accurate financial and management reporting including Freight, Bill and Audit and data analysis enhancing DHL's commercial position by adding value, identifying and managing risks and delivering all contractual obligations. Working closely with the FBA Manager this role is responsible for supporting of the Finance Function and ensuring on time payment to the carriers and timely billing to the customer takes place in line with contractual obligation and all audit and legal requirements are maintained. Further responsibilities include preparation of P&L and all reporting, both internal / external such as billing data to the customer, freight accrual and revenue and FBA KPIs.
The position might be of interest to candidates within the roles of Finance Assistant Manager, Finance Supervisor, and Finance Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities in this role will include:
To ensure accuracy of billing to the customer in line with the LSA and timely payments whilst maintaining cash neutral position
To ensure Freight, Bill and Audit function maintains high standards and strive to continually improve processes
To support with month end reporting and reconciliations and be responsible for FBA input into the monthly accounts
To ensure all information is processed accurately and in a timely manner in line with the agreed FBA processes
To ensure all internal and applicable customer policies and procedures are adhered to in order to gain a grade 1 OCR
To ensure full and accurate monthly spend validation
To support the Management Team by providing financial input into Carrier Reviews and validation of the tender process input and output
To support Operational Team Leaders with continuous reduction in Invoice Rejections
To coach Operational Team in all finance matters
Desired profile
Key skills and experience in this role will include:
Familiarity with supply chain and logistics function desirable
Comfortable working with multi-currency
Awareness of variety of VAT types desirable
Good all-around knowledge of Logistics principles and practices
Responsibility for accounting for multiple sites/contracts
Ideally fully conversant with Open / Closed Book reporting
Ideally of a College degree A level or above background
AAT Qualified or equivalent
Advanced knowledge of Excel Inc. pivots
Supervisor or Entry Manager Level background
Confident and be able to think outside the box
Ability to communicate to people of all levels
Ability to challenge existing processes and procedures
