Salary: up to £29,974 
Grade: RCS N
Job Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift pattern: Rotational including Nights

What are you accountable for achieving as a First Line Manager?

Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements
Direct the daily activity to ensure a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members
Deliver team member performance reviews, Train, develop coach and/or succession planning as appropriate
Manage all disciplinary and grievance issues in line with HR policy and procedures
Work in collaboration with other DHL sites to maximise efficiencies and share best practice
Ensure process adherence through effective standardised work audits
Manage, drive and deliver operational KPI's - SQDCPE
Organise and take the lead on maximising resource capability and productivity - 1 man 3 jobs, 3 men 1 job etc.
Team building and morale management
Ensure materials are delivered on time as per line feed requirements, ensuring adherence to standard processes
Training - Ensure effective, measurable training plans are in place
Operating within the customers quality system/targets (Policy Deployment)
Effective working relationship with the customer (JLR)

What will you need as a successful First Line Manager?
Essential

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
Good oral and written communication skills
People Management - 2 years plus leadership experience
People Management - Team building, employee engagement, managing performance, training/succession planning, and appraisals/feedback
Interfacing directly with the customer
Active Leadership skills
Change management skills
Continuous Improvement & Problem solving techniques/resolution
Project implementation and management
Workload planning
Desirable
Educated to university degree level or equivalent
