Job Purpose

The jobholder has to coordinate all airline operations issues in/out of the Miami International Airport for the DHL Latin American Region.

Supervises the ACS operation and Third Party Services Companies.  

Principle Accountability

• Communicates all aircraft operational issues with the individual airline flight control centers and the respective Miami entities.
• Coordinates activities for ACS charter flights in/out of the MIA airport, including but not limited to fueling, loading, gate assignment, notifications to Department of Agriculture, liaise with Dade
County Aviation Department, and flight crews.
• Oversee postal mail material is recovered and transferred.
• Receives and processes the inbound flights through AMS and dispatches the outbound flights.
• Ensures that all flight related documentation is completed in a timely manner so that operations are carried out per published schedules, and send the proper docs support to the station/airline in charge.
• Ensures that contracted third party suppliers receive/build-up, and breakdowns/deliver all ACS material in accordance with contracted terms and in accordance with Customs, FAA, ICAO, IATA, TSA etc.guidelines.
• Controls ULD’s airworthiness.
• Maintains inventory and daily updates data in RUM System.
• Coordinates with Commercial Department daily customer boarding priorities.
• Coordinates with Service Provider, the accurate build-up of pallets according to ACS product priorities given daily for each
flight.
·Ensures check and balance of the warehouse physical inventory.  
·Supervises the condition of the aircraft during ground time/turn around in compliance with the Aviation GSOP.
• Coordinates and keeps close contact with all DHL Express Supervisors and Ramp loading personnel, in order to solve any queries related to special loads, and ACS material.
• Supervises all dangerous goods are properly accepted and checked in accordance with IATA regulations,
• Provides to DHL Express Ramp Supervisor, final aircraft load information including CORE, and ACS material, ensuring aircraft optimization. 
• Coordinates gate assignments, Maintenance personnel, Fueling Company, Loading/Offloading, Catering, and Aircarft cleaning if needed, and ground security coordinators for daily operation
requirements. 
• Notifies all ACS material discrepancies to Lead Operations Supervisor and provides any relevant information to be solved.
• Performs daily operational reports
• Coordinates all documentation required for aircraft operation with Flight Dispatchers, according to Aviation regulatory entities.
• Prepares Weight and Balance forms accurately according to company regulations, and provides load sheet to ramp personnel.  
• Briefs and provides NOTOC´s to Captain and Crew of any important information regarding flights such as: Live Animals, over size loads, dangerous goods, etc.
• Coordinates with regional office the process for jump seat requests on a timely manner.
• Monitors the proper use of Freight scan at receiving process, and PTGV scanners during build-up freight. 
• Distributes equipment supplies throughout the region, including airway bills for ACS and for CORE Commercial uplift.
• Monitors Ramp Service Provider’s performance in relation to OTP of Latam outbound flights, and timely offloading of inbound flights, providing feedback to the Lead Operations Supervisor.
• Coordinate activities for ACS charter flights in/out of the Miami Airport, including but not limited to fueling, loading, gate assignment, notifications to Department of Agriculture, liaise with Dade County Aviation Department and flight crews.
• Monitors that all steps required to comply with requirements of the ACS Score Card are completed.
• And other assigned duties as required.

Reporting Relationships

This position reports to the Lead Operations Supervisor AM and PM     
Problem Solving:The job holder must have the ability to identify, analyze and solve ACS operational problems, to guarantee a timely and effective operation, in compliance with the standard procedures of the company.

Decision-Making:
The jobholder should be able to take clear and prompt decisions within his main operational responsibilities. Other decisions are subject to prior consultation with higher levels.

Planning and organizing:The jobholder must plan and optimize the different operational procedures of related to ACS, the Warehouse, and the staff in charge, to achieve compliance with the standards and internal requirements needed to meet the schedules of the aircraft.
Job Challenge: Comply and surpass the high standards of quality, efficiency, and security with respect to the management of the warehouse, as well as delivery times and reception of load.
In addition, must support 100% of the activities and processes that ensure the integrity of the load. Meet the OTP: On – Time Performance indicator.  

   
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

High School, and preferably technical studies/university 

Two (2) years experience in supervisory positions, preferably in air operations, controlling operational processes.
 Preferably, two (2) years experience handling Air Cargo, and Warehouse.
 Bilingual in English and Spanish
PC literate
Able to work in the day or night shift
Able to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Able to work under pressure
Must be willing to work flexible hours (including weekends)
Well – organized and proactive
Availability to travel
