Position: Assistant Finance Manager
Location: Milton Keynes

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

As a Assistant Finance Manager you a direct replacement for current post holder who is resigning. All activities are essential to the smooth running of the central finance function withing the Arcadia Contract

Key Responsibilities in this role will include;

Collating & submission of weekly Productivity reports.
Assist the Central Finance Manager (CFM) in providing management with information to maintain effective budgetary control of Spectrum for Arcadia (SFA)
Completion of accurate Periodic Management Accounts, with relevant reconciliations to Financial Accounts.
Completion of DHL Period End trading in line with reporting timetables. This is to include the posting of accurate and supported Accruals/Pre-payment Journals, Month end recs & Balance sheet recs.
Ensure the integrity of financial accounts are maintained in line with DHL policies and procedures.
Assisting the CFM in the Preparation of Budgets with detailed variance analysis.
Covering for DC & Transport Finance Manager's
Raising and effective management of all Sales Invoices.
Control periodic reporting of all capital projects and their recharge process.
Review and submission of all site Distribution KPI's for DHL Global Metrics.
Assisting in procurement, ad-hoc admin tasks & maintaining expenses/credit card expenses
To produce additional ad-hoc Reporting or tasks required by the CFM or Head of Finance

Desired profile

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

Sound knowledge of DC Operations
Degree
Studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge
