Position: Assistant Finance Manager
Location: Thrapston
Customer: Primark
Salary: Circa £27 000 pro rata
Contract Type: Temporary Part-Time (12 months, 3 days per week)

As an Assistant Finance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that you assist the Finance Manager in providing accurate financial and management accounts, management information and data analysis, responsible for maintaining the integrity of the payroll function on site.

Key Responsibilities in this role will include:

Support with preparation and review of weekly quicks and management accounts
Production of periodic customer reporting pack
Control transport backhaul revenue generation process including invoicing and debt mgmt, trackers and account reconciliation
Management of the contract payroll process, including reconciliation to customer accounts and month end processes
Document and maintain payroll procedures, improving where necessary
Management of three administrators (2x finance, 1x payroll)
Support with Month End Trading, ownership of specific contracts for journal preperation and reconciliation
Assist with the completion of monthly reconciliations (BSR & OBR)
Support Finance Manager with production of budgets and associated reports
Ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in all area's of the department
Ensure strong financial controls and systems are managed and pro-actively ensure the controls are maintained
Ensure that DHL policies and procedures are followed at all times
To be aware of the company's objectives and to achieve a satisfactory level of productivity and accuracy
To perform other ad hoc duties as required by the Commercial Controller or Finance Manager as and when needed to ensure the smooth running of the department
Ad hoc financial analysis as required by the customer or management team

Desired profile

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

Previous Purchase Ledger / Finance experience
Previous Payroll experience
People Management skills
Oracle Financials or alternative financial software experience
Strong administration skills
AAT/CIMA or studying towards desirable
